On their recent US road trip our team attended M/Y Rosita to recommend and install an upgraded internet solution because they had poor cellular reception as a result of relying on paddle antennas below deck. Two AX100 antennas matching the colour of the boat were installed, with Pepwave G-T router located in the dome for a very short cable run, resulting in peak downloads of 60Mbps in an area renown for generally poor connectivity.

Our technical team managed to stay connected on their recent US road trip with a little improvisation and some tools from their kit bag. This was their personal mobile data solution while attending client installations in the Long Island area recently. The Pepwave BR1 slim with Peplink Puma antenna performed admirably in the poor LTEA reception areas, keeping the guys in touch with clients and our office based support teams at all times.

While on their recent US road trip our team was called late in the day to troubleshoot TVRO issues on board M/Y Annastar. The vessel’s crew was working against the clock as the owner was on board and was keen to watch the 4th of July celebrations. They couldn’t believe that our team was based locally, and were relieved to see the Orange Axxess Marine shirts dockside. The issues were quickly resolved by a combination of on board and remote support, much to the Captain and Engineer’s relief.

M/Y Alegria needed to switch from their existing provider to Directv USA, which required the replacement of 9 receivers and full cabling reconfiguration, plus commissioning of the antenna. Despite the challenging access to the comms cabinet our tech team were able to quickly complete the upgrade ensuring that crew, owner and guests can channel surf until the sun goes down.
