It was clear that the owner and crew were dissatisfied with the existing set-up, given their need for high speed data in large quantities. Following detailed discussions our team proposed the Inmarsat FX system. Effectively two systems in one with the intellian technologies GX60 for primary connection to deliver high speed unlimited data up to 16mbps with a backup Sailor Fleetbroadband 250 providing up to 256kbps when required at unlimited use as well.
To ensure optimum coverage we recommended a LTEA cellular system comprising Pepwave Max HD2 router and SIM injector for remote carrier selection and reduced cable run, coupled with a pair of Axxess Marine's own AX 100 DUO's, ensuring the crew has the ability to blend both VSAT and cellular services through the Axxess Marine on-board client portal.
