R/V Svea Sea Trials Completed

Posted: May 11, 2020
Great to be working closely with R/V Svea, the Swedish University of Agriculture’s (SLU) new state-of-the-art marine research vessel. When we were approached by their team to optimize their existing shipyard fitted LTE system, we were able to help identify opportunities to improve things, and so set about recommending and shipping the hardware to Sweden. Their technical team expertly installed the AX 200 antennas and Peplink HD2 router, prior to embarking on sea trials over March and April. The results were encouraging, the feedback tremendously positive, and we’re looking forward to a strong partnership with the team at SLU as their projects evolve.   “After searching the world market, we contacted Axxess Marine and ordered two AX200 Duo MIMO antennas. At that time we did not consider changing to a Peplink router, which was something Axxess Marine recommended. The delivery was fast and we found the customer support from Axxess Marine very friendly, helpful and personal. The key take away for us is that you must see the communications solution as an ecosystem, and find a supplier with not only world class products but also the skill and experience to match. When we first approached Axxess Marine we did so with some anxiety, as they are relatively unknown in Sweden and we had never heard of them before. But that has changed and I can with confidence say that we will be working with Axxess Marine further, fine tuning Svea's communication over the coming years." - Bjorn Lindell, IT Manager, SLU
