JUNIOR SAILOR GILES DE JAGER TRIUMPHS AT ANTIGUA LASER OPEN

Axxess Marine proudly Sponsors Antigua Yacht Club (AYC) Junior Sailor, Giles de Jager, who will be reporting on events in and around the Caribbean this season. As the second in the reporting series, Giles reports on the 18th Annual Antigua Laser Open. 

This years International Antigua Laser open was one of the most important races of the year for me as it would determine whether I would qualify for the annual BVI Spring Regatta.

The racing itself was blood boiling. The first day the wind was on the lighter side, so my smaller opponents were near but I managed to keep them in the back. (As for the second day where the wind was really picking up- so my they where nowhere to be seen).

I finished off this Regatta with a first in Radial which I was very proud about.
