M/Y Arbema management took the opportunity to complete final upgrades on the 50m luxury Motor yacht built by Ortona Navi, ensuring crew and charter guests benefited from optimised VSAT and LTE speeds and great connectivity. Two new #Sailor Cobham antennas were installed with BDE delivering #ConnectedbyInmarsat class leading GX #Fleet Xpress VSAT service.

 

Viasat’s advanced technology and high capacity satellite network delivers a superior internet experience at sea. M/Y Inspiration’s #Viasat upgrade involved the removal and decommissioning of the KVH antenna housed in a #Seatel dome. However, we were challenged to find a solution to install the #Sailor 600 antenna into the existing dome as the owners were keen to keep the clean aesthetics of original above deck equipment.

 

Results of our health check on board confirmed cellular internet was very poor and the sim injector was not functioning correctly. To compound the problem, the hardware had been installed in an inconvenient location, meaning the crew had to crawl under the wheel to change SIMs. Our team changed the #PepWave location from under wheel to a ceiling access hatch in the sky lounge, thereby creating easy access for all.

 

We’re pleased to be supporting GAC Services Ltd and Saipem with their conversion of a former fleet vessel into a fully redundant DP Heavy Lift vessel named Saipem 3000. The project involved replacing a completely new stern section and installing a CLYDE 2,400 st crane. The new configuration consists of a mono-hull unit; length 162m, breadth 38m and depth 9m and is self-propelled.
