S/Y Eos – LTE and VSAT Upgrades

S/Y Eos is a three mast Bermuda rigged schooner and, at 93 meters, is one of the largest private sailing yachts in the world. Launched from the Lürssen yard in 2006, Eos took three years to build, and survived a serious fire incident in 2012. Our team was approached during lock down regarding upgrading both the VSAT and cellular above deck equipment, together with BDE for the new twin Intellian V130NX antennas. The key challenge, as lockdown eased, was to coordinate hardware delivery and engineering resource to be available in the Palumbo yard, Malta to complete the upgrade which was done successfully. Sea trials ensured all hardware upgrades were working well and we look forward to supporting S/Y Eos, her Captain and crew on their forthcoming winter itinerary.
