Thinking Outside The Box

Client installations are a key part of what we do at Axxess Marine and our technical team pride themselves on their knowledge base and experience, but also on the high quality of work they carry out for clients. Most installations can be prepared for with feedback from clients on their needs, technical drawings and diagrams plus ongoing discussions, but sometimes things crop up where we have to think outside of the box. A recent example of this is the innovative approach employed with a client where the key to optimization of their LTE system was to ensure that cable runs were minimized – difficult to achieve on larger yachts where the antennas can be located further away than is ideal. To overcome this they created a customized approach so that the hardware could be located above decks, ensuring cable runs were minimized, crew could easily access the hardware to manage SIM card and that the system was optimized. Weather proofing was key, as was flexible ventilation, and the end result hit the spot.
