M/Y Island Girl Sees Speeds Double…

We often talk about optimization of a cellular system being key, and the many ways in which this can be achieved. Here’s a good example of a simple upgrade which led to significant improvements. M/Y Island Girl, a Princess 68 motor yacht, is a popular charter vessel which operates in the Caribbean and US. Guests demand great service and as part of that, internet speeds are understandably important, so the average of 20Mbps download speed was acceptable. However, following a complimentary health check provided by the team in our St Maarten office, we identified ways to improve this with a simple upgrade. Their existing antennas were upgraded to a pair of AX200 duos with new cabling. The post installation tests showed a dramatic improvement with download speeds in excess of 53Mbps.
