Caribbean 2017-2018 Season Updates

Axxess Marine will be passing along as much up to date information as possible on the state of the islands following the hurricane season. MAARTEN/SINT MARTIN The clean-up and rebuilding effort has been amazing in its speed and efficiency considering the many challenges. Marine services, bars, restaurants have been opening daily.

Dutch Side Marinas: Isle de Sol Marina: Intending to Open 25% of the marina is expected to be operational by early November, and 50% or more by early December.  All crew amenities, including Fat Turtle Bar and Restaurant, Pool, Gym and tennis courts will be open in November.

Port de Plaisance Marina: Partially open/operational Several slips currently available 1 yacht is already docked in this marina

Simpson Bay Marina: Intending to Open beginning November 1. Marina office, some slips and amenities such as bathrooms and showers will be open by November 1, with more slips coming on line by December. ?

Palapa Marina: Intending to Open. Planning on being open this season on smaller scale.  Updates to be provided as received.  Soggy Dollar VIP Lounge is already open.

French Side Marinas: Marina Fort Louis:  Intending to Open. Intending to Open.  Date to be confirmed.

SAINT BARTH’S Recovery is swift, and the island has committed to its famous New Years Party for December 31, 2017.  Saint Barth's Bucket and Les Voiles de Saint Barths will proceed as planned in 2018.  Shops and restaurants are cleaning up and opening.

New Years: St Barth will be open for New Years. Saint Barth Bucket March 15-18, 2018: Scheduled to proceed as planned?. Les Voiles de St. Barth April 8-14, 2018: Scheduled to proceed as planned. 

ANTIGUA Antigua was not significantly impacted by the storm and is open for business!

Antigua Yacht Charter Show December 4 to 10, 2017 is moving forward as planned.  Marinas, shops and restaurants are open for business.

TURKS AND CAICOS

Blue Haven Marina: Partially Open/Operational. No slips available over 40 feet Aim to be open for either February 2018 or May/June 2018.?

?SAINT EUSTATIUS This small island was largely spared.  The port is operational, and the island is open.

MARTINIQUE Martinique experienced some wind and surge from Maria, but the island has been mostly untouched.  Martinique is open for business!

GUADELOUPE Although Maria did pass close to Guadeloupe, the island was mostly unharmed.  Airports, marinas, restaurants, hotels and services are fully operational.

SAINT LUCIA Although Saint Lucia did experience some strong winds with the passage of Maria, St. Lucia was essentially untouched, and businesses remain open!

GRENADA Grenada has been largely untouched by the hurricanes.  The island chain is open for business!!

TRINIDAD Trinidad has been largely untouched by the hurricanes.  The island chain is open for business!!
