ARE YOU ROMEO’S FOREVER PERSON?

Posted: Feb 19, 2019
Meet Romeo a sweet rescue pup currently being fostered by our friends Nigel and Cece in St. Maarten.  Romeo has needed a home since Hurricane Irma left him without an owner… Are you his forever person?

This handsome lad is great with kids and other animals and is a first rate cuddle bug.  Need a sweet, laid back side-kick with a loving disposition and quiet manner? Romeo is your boy.

Romeo is approximately 3 years old and is full-grown at almost 20 pounds. He is a medium size dog (stands approximately 24 inches at the shoulder) and is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered.  He’s that rare sort of pooch who is so thoughtful, and cares so much about how others feel, that he could easily become one of the most important 'people' in your life.

“I can put my hand on my heart and say that he is an amazing character and anyone would be blessed to have him.” Says Nigel Darby, Romeo’s foster dad “He is adorable and will be a fantastic addition to any household.”

Is Romeo your forever dog? Send us an email. (You’ve only just seen his picture but we are sure he loves you already.)

Hats off to Nigel and Cece for taking Romeo in and working to find him a home. We know that this is a selfless and loving thing to do and are so proud to support their efforts.

The Axxess Marine team has fostered rescues in Antigua for the last 2 years and sent pups to the UK, Canada and the US. Working with rescue groups like Dogs and Cats of Antigua Andrea and Dennis have fostered 6 pups, all of whom are now with their forever families, so until our next rescues are ready for their big leap, we are focused on finding sweet Mr. Romeo a home.

“Fostering rescues has become an integral part of the way we serve the communities we live and work in.” says Andrea Carmicheal, Axxess Marine COO. “On a personal note, caring for these dogs is incredibly rewarding.  Sure, it can be challenging, but as foster families we are the first people they connect to, so we are able to teach them what love and security feels like. It’s hard on the heart when we have to let the puppies go, but knowing they are on their way to their forever family makes it all worth while.”
