The Axxess Marine team attended Viasat’s first training and forum geared towards certifying Viasat/Cobham installers. Viasat/Cobham installers are certified engineers who are recognized by Viasat & Cobham to have a level of skill or competence to install and troubleshoot Viasat KA VSAT equipment on client vessels.

 

Our Axxess Marine team members, Garry, Cedric, and Tahvorn, recently attended the Viasat Cobham KA Training. Location: Courtyard by Marriott in Fort Lauderdale.

Seventy-five boats are entered for the RORC Caribbean 600 which starts on Monday 21 February 2022 in Antigua. The bulk of the fleet will be racing under IRC for overall victory and the RORC Caribbean 600 Trophy. Over 700 sailors from 32 different nations will take on the thrilling race in the deep midwinter of the Northern Hemisphere.

 

Following the return of the #ACYM in December, and as the busy winter charter season unfolds, we’re adding to our #AxxessMarine team in the Caribbean again. Our dockside Antigua office, at the Yacht Club Marina, Falmouth Harbour is growing once more with the addition of Reeva Armstrong, a familiar face amongst the Antigua yachting community, who joins us as marketing & communications manager after a successful career as a key part of the ACYM team.

 

Sometimes an installation can be a pressurized event, particularly in the midst of a busy charter season, but in our opinion that’s when preparation counts the most. Upgrading a superyacht’s communication systems can be a complicated process but at #AxxessMarine we believe that, from start to finish, things need to run smoothly and the results and performance need to impress.

With the Caribbean season now in full swing and the Med season not quite ready to embrace the summer ahead, there’s still work to be done in some of the less traveled yachting regions, this time it's Brazil. Our tech team has a busy few months ahead with new projects in Brazil.

 

Great to see some memories from December’s ACYM immortalized on social media! It was a memorable show and good to see it firmly back on the yachting events calendar.
