Traditionally, at this time of year, we’d be in the South of France launching the Axxess Marine annual charity bike ride in advance of the Monaco Yacht Show. However, along with most of the other key events in the maritime calendar things have had to be delayed, with the hope that they can be quickly be resumed in 2021. The Axxess Marine charity ride was established in 2017, the weekend before the MYS, and was created as a focal point to bring our clients, Captains and Crew plus cycling enthusiasts together for a social ride in the hills around the Cote D’Azur whilst raising funds for charity. Axxess Marine is proud to support the Amber Foundation and we were pleased to welcome the charity’s patron Eddie Jordan, ex Formula one team boss and keen cyclist, to the event in 2019. The Amber Foundation is dedicated to helping homeless young people by providing them with accommodation and the basic life skills to lead independent lives, and we’re committed to supporting them in partnership with Acrew. To mark the occasion across our global locations, members of the Axxess Marine team put on the lycra for a few miles in celebration of the postponed event, with the aim of being back with a bang in 2021!
