With the momentum building, and the lifting crane scheduled, the next steps included scouting for through-ship cable routes and starting to remove external access hatches to the main mast, checking for possible 4G AX antenna locations and agreeing with the Chief Engineer. Identifying internal and external cable routes and removing redundant coaxial cables where possible. Commencing installation of 4G coaxial cables from mast to sun deck and GX coaxial cables, plus ethernet cables from main mast to the wheelhouse, and working with crew to remove further internal deck overheads. Finalising locations for hardware, including Peplink LTEA routers and balance and Inmarsat VSAT rack units.
