5 Things We Are Grateful For

Posted: Dec 23, 2017
The launch of the Caribbean Yachting season is far too busy for a long and wordy post about how much we appreciate our clients, colleagues and associates, so we are keepin’ it simple here at Axxess Marine. The holiday season seems like the perfect time of year to share:

5 THINGS THE AXXESS MARINE TEAM IS GRATEFUL FOR

1. PARTNERS As they say, “In life its not where you go, but who you travel with”. Well, in this industry, the travel is a given. It takes a lot of cooperation and commitment for a company to be successful, and we are truly grateful for the partnerships that make it possible for us to do what we do, each and every day.

2. BEING PART OF AN INDUSTRY THAT GIVES BACK Suffice it to say, I expect all of us had more than a few conversations about what to expect from the 2017-2018 Caribbean Yachting season, post Hurricane Irma. We are incredibly inspired by how the entire industry sprang into action in the wake of all that was lost. Dozens of vessels volunteered to carry supplies to the weather-devastated areas from the Med, countless GOFUNDME campaigns were created, donations were made. Even now, people continue to roll up their sleeves and get involved in any manner of ways, all in an effort to give back to the islands and the people who are the backbone of the yachting industry.

3. TRANSPARENCY While rebuilding efforts are underway, and many have made their return to the Caribbean for the season, the Axxess Marine team is especially blown away by the commitment to keeping the yachting industry informed and abreast of what is happening. Cheers to those organizations who have banded together to relay updates about the islands. While the information on websites like https://www.caribbeanyachtingupdate2017.com simply helps us serve our clients better, the updates on island hotels, marinas, restaurants, and events just makes us even more proud of the strides being made across the Caribbean.

4. THE SHOW GOES ON And I mean this both literally and figuratively. Knowing that St. Barth will be open for New Years parties, and the Saint Barth Bucket, Les Voiles de St Barth, and the Heineken Regatta in St. Maarten will all proceed as planned simply does a heart some good doesn’t it?

5. CONNECTING While we may have known each other via email and telephone for what seems like forever, there just doesn’t seem to be anything better than actually meeting clients, partners and colleagues IN PERSON. Whether it be on the dock, at a boat show, at a cycling event or over a cocktail at the yacht club, a special toast to all of our clients we’ve had the chance to meet with, face to face this year…

Thank you for your loyalty, friendship and partnership this past year.  We look forward to a great 2018-2019 season- and to meeting you both online and in person soon!

Kym and the Axxess Marine Team Dennis, Andrea, Tony, Attila, Tricia and Martijn
